Building on 35 years of experience

I’m Steve Barton, founder of Skin Thinking, and a professional skin biologist. I’ve been involved in the research, development and commercialisation of skincare technologies for over three decades.

In that time, I’ve achieved commercial successes at Boots (No7, Botanics) and Oriflame (Ecollagen 3D+, Aqua-Rhythm), authored over twenty peer-reviewed papers and secured several patents for cosmetic formulations.

I also maintain regular contact with colleagues in the industry, including UK Cosmetics Toiletries and Perfumers Association, Society of Cosmetic Scientists and International Society for Stratum Corneum Research. Using these contacts I can open up other possibilities to support your product development.
